We were very excited when we saw that Pamela Fox was interested in starting Girl Develop IT classes in Austrailia. Our official position on branching out has been that since we don’t yet have a complete understanding of what we are doing we want to wait before authorizing groups in other cities. We agree that this is a great need, and want to make sure we can equip new teams with all the right tools to succeed and do this well. That means teaching several series of classes and trying to get it better every time. However, Pamela has been doing this for a little while now as she has been teaching these sort of classes for Google (she works for them, she’s kind of a big deal). All of us are big fans of Pamela (Sara says she finds personal inspiration in her hair). We feel like she will help us reach the perfect formula faster, and do some awesome stuff in the process. The classes in Australia will be following our current curriculum pretty closely with some of their own variations. We will be touching base throughout, and meeting after to discuss what we have learned through each iteration. 

The new classes can be found on the Meetup, Google Sydney is hosting them. We are super appreciative that Pamela is jumping on board and getting ladies “equipped to ship” on another continent. We’re excited to see where this leads us.
